Alison Cook Beatty Dance’s Artistic Director Alison Cook Beatty is one of several artists featured in Paul B. Goode’s VISION, his inaugural print magazine. Check out some of the beautiful photos in the first issue, including the first of many insights and reflections on thirty-six years of dance photography.
Paul B. Goode’s VISION is now available as a high quality print magazine. Something you can actually hold in your hands. Each issue will include essays from the online journal but with more pictures in a larger format than the online journal.
The dance community is in need of a magazine for adults. Something honest that portrays the world of dance behind the scenes. Something postive without the fluff. True stories about how hard dancers and the dance companies work to survive. A magazine that shows not just the steps but the emotion behind them. By supporting VISION you will help me continue to photograph and write about the dance community, most often donating my time and expenses. Future issues will feature Martha Graham, Bill T. Jones, Buglisi Dance Theatre, The Kirov (Mariinksy Ballet), and of course intimate portraits of my favorite dancers.
Thank you and I hope you enjoy the first issue featuring Ballet Next.
